Innovation Studio
Creative Inspiration Journey School (CIJS) launched an Innovation Studio (IS) program for the 2024-2025 Academic Year, requiring all Kindergarten to 5th grade Scholars to participate.
The Innovation Studio is a dynamic learning environment where K-5 Scholars come together once a week to engage in hands-on exploration and discovery. Rooted in the Reggio Emilia approach, this space encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Our young learners are empowered to take ownership of their education, following their natural interests while being guided by thoughtful provocations and collaborative challenges. Here, every child is seen as capable, competent, and full of potential.
Within the Innovation Studio, Scholars dive into the world of coding, robotics, and computational thinking. Through interactive, project-based learning, they develop essential problem-solving skills while exploring concepts in engineering and technology. Scholars engage in activities like building robots, designing digital stories, and tackling real-world challenges that require teamwork, perseverance, and logical reasoning. By providing access to modern tech tools, we aim to nurture innovative thinkers who are prepared to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
This unique learning space is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications. Scholars are encouraged to see themselves as creators, inventors, and future leaders. With each challenge they face, students learn the value of iteration, reflection, and the power of collaboration.
