Re-Imagining Education......Inspiring Inquiry Through Innovative Learning

A Few Things to Think About When Considering Enrollment at CIJS

We are delighted you have chosen CIJS to fulfill your child’s educational needs. Educating your child is a responsibility we take very seriously.  It is our goal to provide a loving atmosphere that emphasizes development of the whole child.  We have qualified staff who are dedicated to providing quality education for your children.

We encourage you to become an active participant in the school activities and programs we offer.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to talk to your child’s teacher or Principal.  We want the best for you and your child.

Parent Handbook & Behavior Policies

Please take the time to read our policies and procedures and review our “Will My Child Thrive at CIJS” page to determine if CIJS is a good fit for your student. While many children thrive at CIJS, it may NOT be the best option for EVERY child.  You will also find more information regarding our approved contracted charter school environment on this page as well. It is located under the EXPLORE CIJS tab on the header of the website and on the link below.

Please consider all the schools in the area and choose the best option for your child based on environment, policies, curriculum etc.

Will My Child Thrive At CIJS?

Many, but not all of our policies are below.  These can also be found in the parent portal during your registration process AFTER you have been accepted in the lottery. Parents who have not been accepted in the lottery will not have access to these documents in their portal.

Please Note: CIJS is not a district school, we only reside in Osceola County.  Therefore, we have our own board and our own policies which are approved by our CIJS board based on a combination of state statutes and CIJS policies. This can be confusing for parents sometimes, because we reside in Osceola County.

CIJS is NOT an Osceola County District School. While we reside in this county, we have our own School Board and Policies.  Any concerns are required to go through the CIJS Resolution Process. If you call the District, we will request that they direct you back to us!!

Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water.
